About
At the heart of our restaurant is Chef Arash Sodagaran, a culinary visionary whose journey began in his native Iran. From his teenage years, he balanced his studies with a growing passion for the kitchen, honing his skills as a chef assistant in some of Tehran’s most renowned restaurants, including Hani and Nayeb. His dedication to the craft led him to attend numerous culinary workshops and courses, and he further broadened his expertise by earning a diploma in Hotel Housekeeping from Hotel Evin. In 2009, Chef Arash moved to Kyoto, Japan, where he expanded his culinary horizons by working in Persian and Indian restaurants across Kyoto and Tokyo, all while mastering Japanese and English. In 2013, he fulfilled his dream by opening Arash’s Kitchen in Kyoto—a vibrant dining destination that has consistently ranked among the city’s top three restaurants for the past two years. The menu reflects his diverse culinary influences, offering an enticing blend of Persian, Indian, Turkish, and Arabic cuisines, all prepared to Halal standards, with vegetarian, egg-free, and dairy-free options available.
